Where a Hispanic Catholic, and a Computer Geek write about Gun Rights, Self Defense and whatever else we can think about.

Semi-retired like Vito Corleone before the heart attack. Consiglieri to J.Kb and AWA. I lived in a Gun Control Paradise: It sucked and got people killed. I do believe that Freedom scares the political elites.

This was the beginning of the end for the Nazis. Omaha Beach, Utah Beach, Gold, Sword, and Juno beaches, the drop zones behind the lines, the French Underground getting the “go” signals, the ships offshore running in close to blast shore batteries, thousands of aircraft sorties a day… In the meantime, around the world, the desperate struggle was going on against the Empire of Japan, the Russians were waging a vicious fight against the Nazis in their own country, cargo ships and submarines were lining the ocean bottom with steel hulks… If you don’t know about world war 2, you really should read up on it.
Here is one bit of information that you all should know: as soon as Hitler was elected Chancellor of Germany in 1933, he didn’t waste any time making it illegal for political enemies, and those of the wrong religion or ethnicity, to own firearms. Soon after, the brutal arrests began, connected with the anti-firearm laws. Almost every one who was arrested was eventually murdered.
Next time you have a chance to calmly reply to someone who says, “only the police and military should have guns”, remind them that, that was the law in Nazi Germany.
