KAMPALA, Uganda (AP) — Ugandan officials have reported 11 more cases of Ebola in the capital since Friday, a worrisome increase in infections just over a month after an outbreak was declared in a remote part of the East African country.
Nine more people in the Kampala metropolitan area tested positive for Ebola on Sunday, in addition to two others on Friday, Health Minister Jane Ruth Aceng said Monday.
A top World Health Organization official in Africa said last week that Uganda’s Ebola outbreak was “rapidly evolving,” describing a challenging situation for health workers.
Ugandan health authorities have confirmed 75 cases of Ebola since Sept. 20, including 28 deaths. There are 19 active cases.
The official numbers don’t include those who probably died of Ebola before the outbreak was confirmed in a farming community about 150 kilometers (93 miles) west of Kampala.

So, with incomplete numbers, we know that this latest Ebola outbreak has an almost 40% chance of killing your ass. The Wuhan Flu A.K.A. COVID has a 2% (or less) chance to kill you.
Things to ponder.
And containment isn’t an option, because restricting travel from current plague centers is racist.
And, how long before the current administration decides to import a few patients.

Just in time for midterms…
The last time we went through the ebola panic what we found was that the transmission rate in third world shit holes was very high. If you lived in such a place your survival rate was shit too.
BUT, people in first world countries did not see the same sort of transmission rates and the survival rate, if caught early enough, was 100%. I.e. if you were already near liquid in a third world country there wasn’t a lot that modern medicine could do, but if you were diagnosed with it and treated immediately, you survived.
Part of the problem was culture. In some of these third world countries there is a culture of handling the dead and intentionally getting their blood on yourself. Sort of like going into the polo ward and kissing your wife it is currently contagious. Odds are high you’ll catch it from that kiss. Don’t kiss, don’t catch.
China Joe and St. Fauci will appoint an “Ebola Czar” require lockdowns, and of course ineffective masks. If we need a “Monkey Pox Czar” why not an “Ebola Czar?”
