Having a good football team is clearly more important than a strong global strategic position.
In case you thought we were governed by serious people who thought past the next way to use corruption and power dealing to line their own pockets.
On the other hand … I don’t think anyone associated with the Navy had anything to do with the Afghanistan fustercluck.
Certainly not anyone from Annapolis, the academy in general or the football program in particular.
Or because a football coach doesn’t have a commission from Congress?
