Usually when we go viral, it decreases by the second day and by the fourth day we are back to normal numbers. But for some reason the post “DeSantis did not shoot across the bow of Antifa/BLM, he dropped a tactical nuke.” has gone more viral than the Wuhan V.
Yesterday we had 50K visits. and that would make it 150K in total so far.
Damn.
The last time this happened I was here. And the site went down. All I was seeing was 500 errors. Nothing seemed to work. A few days later the load went down and the site was usable again.
In talking to some SEO people they told me that the thing that most often kills a viral “post” on a personal site is the site becomes unable. If people click on the viral link and get a 500 error, they go away.
If they click on the viral link and get the post they are looking for and with little or no pain, they are likely to hang around.
That’s why Divemedic, McThag, 90Miles and Joe’s blog are all in my daily read. You had a link to them. I read the post, then went a bit further and decided the sites are worth coming back to.
Curious to see where the traffic is coming from.
Yesterday we had 50K visits. Very nice. Most I got in one day was 350, and that was on a movie review post.
I saw it shared on FB the other day by a friend and it caught my eye. Not sure she follows the blog or not.
Miguel- the next Rush Limbaugh…. heh heh heh
