Entertainment wise South Florida always sucked the big one. Even Latin music and related things were a bust unless you wanted to go to the Independence celebrations of Colombia and Dominican Republic or the Chili Cook Off for some taste of Country Music.  But those were 3 dates a year and then it was a frigging dry spell. Of course, you could attend the numerous night clubs with live bands, but we have seen one too many episodes of the First 48 to actually be that stupid.

Semi-retired like Vito Corleone before the heart attack. Consiglieri to J.Kb and AWA. I lived in a Gun Control Paradise: It sucked and got people killed. I do believe that Freedom scares the political elites.

  1. Nashville will absolutely ruin your ability to enjoy live music in other cities. The talent pool here is so large that it is *impossible* to go somewhere and here badly played music at a public venue. It may not be what you like, but it will be played well.

The high-schoolers that performed at my Prom went on to be grammy winners.

I once had to cancel plans because my brother in law was playing The Grand Ole Opry that night.

The Music Director for my little 150 person country church went to Juilliard, as did my first roommate when I moved back to town.

Everyone here has these kinds of stories.

It is so common for the superstars that live here to show up for karaoke night at some dive bar that the news doesn’t even report it.

Only one rule: Don't be a dick.
