Secretary Antony Blinken actually said that:

“But let me be crystal-clear about this: There is no deadline on our work to help any remaining American citizens who decide they want to leave to do so.”

My first thought was “what Americans want to stay in Afghanistan?”

Then I saw this:

I’ve seen videos from LA and San Francisco.

There is less violence and shit on the streets in Kabul than South LA and the Tenderloin.

The reliability of electricity is about the same.

All that and the cost of living is cheaper.

They might just want to stay instead of going back to California.

  1. The kids are from the Cajon Valley School District. That’s east San Diego County— El Cajon and up to Alpine. When we lived there it wasn’t a bad place to live, but that’s been a while.

US Supreme Court slaps Joe Biden upside the head!

U.S. Supreme Court ends CDC’s pandemic residential eviction moratorium
The justices, who in June had left in place a prior ban that expired at the end of July, granted a request by the challengers to lift the moratorium by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) that was to have run until Oct. 3.

John Roberts has decided that his court being mocked by Joe Biden during the announcement of the moratorium was a step too far. The Three Usual Suspects dissented.

    1. Too late, I’d say, to preserve respect. They should have acted the day they were first defied.

  3. Those kids aren’t Americans. They are Afghani “refugees” that went for a visit back home…

    1. Excuse me. They’re Americans until proven otherwise. I’d rather have them than most of the faculty of the University of California.

      1. You must have edited your spelling. When I went to reply, your post was missing. See my reply below.

    2. To my down voter who posted a comment that did actually make it to my email:

“Excuse me. They’re Americans until proven otherwise. I’d father have them than most of the faculty of the University of California.”

I present proof they are not actually Americans.

To get SIV status they must be in danger in their home country. Who TF goes back, with kids in tow, to a country that’s at war and the US is pulling out of, if they left because it was dangerous?

      1. Indeed, if you’re in the US on a visa then by definition you’re an alien.
Re “a country that’s at war”, given that they were living in CA it seems plausible they might have imbibed too much of the Biden Koolaid.
