Two days after Newsom’s comments, Assemblyman Phil Ting (D-San Francisco) reintroduced a bill that had been vetoed by Brown to allow teachers, employers and co-workers to seek court orders temporarily removing guns from people thought to be a danger to themselves or others.
Gov. Gavin Newsom makes aggressive, early moves on his gun control agenda for California
Have you had a co-worker that does not like you? Or had an argument with your boss who is a dick and wishes he could mess with you without HR getting in the way? Imagine a Berkeley teacher finding out that one of his students belongs to the NRA or shoots clays? The left will weaponize the crap out of this law.
And you know what? Californian Gun Owners should return the favor. Do you know the shitstorm that will happen if one of this Berkeley rabid Lefty professor gets a 3 am warrant served by SWAT? The same goes for some underling working for a gun control congresscritter, see how they like them apples. And clogging the system ain’t a bad idea either. There are so many police officers out there anyway and they would have to either hire more or deal with a very slow response to this evil contraption.
What is good for the goose and all that.
And after the 2nd or 3rd such incident, if it even took that long, the CA police would have a little list to check before taking any action on such orders.
My feelin exactly!! They had a red flag law vote here last year. I emailed the dems in my area and reminded them that it affects everybody even THEM. It didnt survive. For now
