True … then again, anything made by man has its design flaws somewhere.

The question, for me, is how the company handles things after said flaw(s) come(s) to light … especially if they are discovered by the company itself before anyone else does. This seems like a pretty decent response in the grand scheme of things.
Hammer follow is a well known issue with 1911s and from a bit of research is typically caused by an out of tolerance part or tolerance stacking in the trigger, sear, disconnector, or hammer. This points to a quality control issue, or a manufacturing error. This is not a design flaw in the 1911 since Browning designed it with the expectation that each gun was hand fitted.
