J.Kb. mentioned the Ruger LC Carbine in 5.7×28. There was recently a YouTube review on the LC Carbine. It seems like a nice place between a pistol caliber carbine and a full up “deer rifle” Only $1000.

Somebody else mentioned a lever action in .357 Magnum. $700 for a Rossi and north of $1200 for a Henry, Marlin or Winchester.

Not to mention I want a .50Cal bolt action or semi auto. Call it $2000 to $10,000 depending on make and model.

There is the acres of land I want so I can have a private range.

There is the collage education for my children.

Would it have been so bad for God to have made me a rich man?

  1. College or trade school?? We the People ALL are feeling the cruch.. I picked a good time to renovate my house! $17+ for a sheet of drywall! And still recovering from foot surgery..
We are pretty well gunned up but some ammo is precious, especially.223. Im not paying north of $500 for 1K rounds.. still, we are holding our own here.. Yall help keep me sane..

  2. Mrs. B. is very musically inclined. I am not, but my “sense of humor” compensates. (And yes, she sometimes uses the air quotes when referring to it.) One day after a somewhat annoying range trip, we heard “Fiddler” and started altering the lyrics a touch:
    .
If I were a good shot,
Ya ha deedle deedle, bubba bubba deedle deedle dum.
All day long my zero would stay good,
If I were a good shot!
I’d always hit the ten ring,
Ya ha deedle deedle, bubba bubba deedle deedle dum.
If I were a biddy biddy good,
    Yidle-diddle-didle-didle shot.

I’d have a custom barrel fluted and tapered,
    optics simply best-in-class,
a fine wooden stock fitted perfectly to me.
There’d be daylight safe thermal imaging,
And a bipod coming down in front,
And backup iron sights just for show!

We’re thinking of calling it “Sniper on the Roof.”
