JUST IN: Pro-lifer Lauren Handy sentenced to nearly 5 years in prison for “blockading” a Washington abortion clinic in 2020.
After she was indicted, police found 5 fetuses in her Washinton home.
According to prosecutors, Handy instructed co-defendants to chain themselves together with locks and chains.
Handy and the other people she was with sang hymns and prayed, accusing the clinic of killing babies even after they were born.

Handy was convicted of conspiracy against rights and violating the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act.
She was sentenced to 57 months in prison.

Our justice system never seemed so obviously politically two tiered.
The comparison seems a bit muddled, given the “found five fetuses” bit. What’s that all about?
If I had to guess, the fetuses the police found are 1 of 2 things:
1) They were development stage models of human fetuses and not actual human remains, which may be used for educational purposes, and which the news misconstrued as actual human remains for shock value.
2) Legally obtained and medically preserved remains of human fetuses, again may be used for educational purposes.
Either way, you will notice that the possession of human remains/fetuses wasn’t in the list of crimes that she was sentenced for, and therefore I would assume that there was nothing illegal about the possession of said fetuses, whether they were models or actual remains.
She was sentenced for blocking access; no muddling here – besides the typical news outlets doing what they do to confuse the real issues and add click bate.
Thanks, that makes perfect sense. I was wondering why it was mentioned. So “for shock value” is the explanation.
What EagleAgg03 said, they are probably legal, whether models or preserved remains. The pro-life tents at every fair and festival I’ve been to hand out plastic life-size models of a 12-week-old fetus, just to show people what an abortion at that stage is killing.

But it adds shock value to the news story about her. “She says she cares about babies, but ZOMG HERE SHE IS WITH FIVE FETUS’ REMAINS!!1!!11!! WHAT A SICK FREAK!!1!!11!!” with a healthy dose of “Like, Share, and Subscribe to fight Right-Wing Hypocrisy!”

the legal system has been two tiered for ages, and frankly, I am surprised you have not noticed before now. Night and day different. Examples abound.
We’ve all noticed. I believe J.Kb is just pointing out how glaringly obvious it’s becoming; i.e. it’s becoming increasingly impossible to continue denying it and maintain credibility.
