OK, I’m gonna go out on a limb and guess that the photo prop guy grabbed just any ole rifle out of the armory that he could find and the photographer, upon being told that it didn’t have a rear sight or ACOG told the ‘model’; “Don’t worry about it. NO one will notice…..” The photo shoot equivalent of “Hey Bubba, watch THIS…”
But SERIOUSLY !!! Did NO ONE at eighth and eye look at this before it was approved for publishing?
Since it’s from the Naval Institute, 8th and I would probably have never seen it. Gen. Amos would have pitched a fit.
