You have to be willing to commit violence.

Except it was clear the person recording this was unwilling to employ that much violence.
It’s not about the opportunity, it’s the will.

If you’re reading this blog, the answer is probably “yes.”
For many people, the answer is “no.”
If you want to survive a violent encounter, you must be prepared to dish out violence.
Some how people have been conditioned that meeting violence with violence is “wrong”.. when it’s exactly what must be done… you don’t look forward to it, you just do it when its time..
Either way, yes or no, it’s something to decide before the moment of need. Mrs. B and I had some serious conversations when we got our first “serious” gun, revisited them at various times e.g. when concealed carry permits were sought.

I have no real quarrel with those who say no – it’s a personal choice after all, and I respect others’ right to make it – but at least think about it a little bit when you have the leisure to do so. Otherwise there’s a much higher chance you will “lock up” and wind up getting yourself, or someone you care about, seriously hurt or killed because you couldn’t take any action.

Indeed … there’s an implied but very important “…for themselves” caveat to the scope of such decisions.
“Using your words” only works if the person you are talking to is willing to listen.
