Middle TN got pounced yesterday afternoon and into the night. Tornado hit the Columbia and Spring Hill area which was freaky since I was working around there till 2 pm.
And then we got a deluge at Oh Dark Hundred with accompanying light and sound show.
That is one side of the house, and I am going to say about up to 14 inches of standing water by the trees on the left.
I was talking with the neighbors across the street when this dude actually came at us with an attitude.
Good thing I am not into crustacean morsels.
He was released back into the flooded fields, and I believe he did not like it much from all the underwater trashing.
I was watching the radar last night. You got some interesting weather down there. About what NE IN, southern MI and NW OH got the day before. That was pretty “exciting” to watch. All I got was some rain. It’s gonna be one of those years it seems…
What I want to know is who was the first person who said “Damn, that ugly ass bug with the massive claws looks delicious!”
That is some serious food delusions there.
I suspect, as with a number of Chinese dishes (e.g bird nest soup) it came out of desperation. Or maybe a dare.
Hold my beer…
I vote for dare.
At first I said “what the heck, a lobster?” but the second picture seems to say it’s a crawdad. Still good eating, though.
Never met a crawdad that didn’t like being in water. Must be a Southern Crawdad thing….
