Critter breaks into the house of a widower, attacks her and is surprised when he starts bleeding. The link has the news item and the audio of the 911 call that captured the moment of the attack, its rightful resolution by the lady with a .38 special revolver and Michael Lewis (pictured above) complaining of a sudden inset of pain.
I love happy endings.

Good for her! 🙂
Excellent job! Her husband gave her an invaluable gift – literally the gift of life.
Man, reading that transcript sure gets your blood going.
This is what we really need to hammer the anti-rights cultists (aka gun control advocates) — what would they have the home owner do instead of protecting herself with a firearm?
Does anyone think the thug who trespassed, broke in and assaulted her would have stopped there — as if that isn’t enough!
“what would they have the home owner do instead of protecting herself with a firearm?”
They’d rather the assailant have a firearm and she get shot so that they can parade around more anti-gun legislation.
Looks like a hobbit with a meth habit.

Good job by the woman – good job by the dispatcher.
The transcript is chilling.
Homeowner: “Don’t get up or I’ll shoot your (expletive) again!”
This is the part that gives me the warm fuzzies. Any time, fiction or reality, where the bad guy selects his victim, moves in to attack, and then suddenly realizes too late that he’s made a terrible mistake.
I’ve got a grin on my face a mile wide. OWNED, you miserable excuse for a human being!
Think of the fun he is going to have in prison — once everyone finds out just how his crime spree was stopped 🙂
