Kentucky Rep. Mary Lou Marzian, [highlight2]a democrat[/highlight2], told the Courier-Journal she has a very specific reason for the increased regulation.”I want to protect these men from themselves.” said Marzian. And Marzian’s proposal gets even more restrictive.HB 396 says that only married men would be able to legally obtain Viagra and once acquired, the man would have to issue a sworn statement on a Bible that he is only using the drug for erectile dysfunction when having sex with his current spouse

Bless her little heart. Am I wrong to suspect Rep. Marzian has had “difficulties” with her relationships? Feel free to add the obligatory jokes but try to keep them somewhat clean.

  1. Gee Mary Lou are you having issues with a significant other ( politically correct democratic speak for cheating husband ) so you want to impose a solution on the entire population through state law. More likely hubby has the little blue pills and her insecurities are driving her to fantasize that he cheating since she won’t let him touch her so what does he need them for? As clean as I could make it.

  2. The key to understanding this is the last sentence: “Marzian claims her bill is in response to anti-abortion measures in the Kentucky legislature that would require a woman seeking an abortion to get counseling before the procedure.”

Her intent is not really to get such a bill passed, but to make such an absurd bill to compare it to what she sees as absurd restrictions on abortion. There have been a number of bills like this lately that propose some absurd regulation of someone’s behavior, all of which have been proposed by female Democrats, and none of which they actually want to see passed. Instead of trying to directly rescind legislation they oppose, they’re trying to make some philosophical analogy to make folks have an epiphany and come to their way of thinking about abortion.

NOTE: I’m just pointing out these folks’ rationale, not stating any personal position/opinion about abortion.

  3. This is the type of shenanigan that makes the legislative process worse for everybody. Nothing gets solved. Only more rights get taken away as each side tries to inconvenience the other.

The only response to these politicians should be “I need the little blue pill FOR YOUR MOTHER.”

  4. I see no comparison between a little blue pill and abortion, they keep trying to convince people it’s alright to kill a baby. What part of murder don’t they understand and premeditated also.I can’t understand how they can think so little of a human life, and when someone has a beating heart it is a life, yes it is that simple.

  5. I would like to ask a serious question: What do they think we have to gain from banning abortion?

It’s divisive. I know someone who literally the only reason she’s not supporting Carly Fiorina (or to a large degree most of the Republican candidates) is because of her stance on abortion. If gun restrictions will lose you votes among conservatives, abortion restrictions will lose you support among liberals at least as fast.

Babies don’t vote. This is one of the reasons they can get away with being so rabidly pro-feticide, is because the people who do vote are the ones who see the baby as an outsider and a tumor instead of “This is kind of MY life that you’re talking about throwing away here.” The shyest, most fringe crazypants SJW snowflakes can still speak up for themselves and make a fuss more than unborn children can.

It’s expensive. Born children require upkeep, food, shelter, safety, maintenance, a higher standard of living than the average human adult is able to survive in. The latest and most popular straw-man is “pro-life people don’t care about the kids after they’re born.” (which is of course less true than “Hillary Clinton is honest and trustworthy” or “Bernie Sanders believes in capitalism and corporate freedom”)

Objectively, there is literally no benefit to opposing abortion, and yet we do it anyway. What could they possibly think we seek to gain?

Because if they think we oppose abortion for the sake of being cheezy Saturday-Morning cartoon villains, then they have no business making decisions about their own lives, let alone anybody else’s. Any adult who seriously thinks people do things just to be evil is clinically insane and a danger to themselves and everyone around them.
