Now, it is easy to dismiss this as a college trend that will probably go away after the midterms are over. But when you have common folk New Yorkers marching and chanting, then there is something else cooking slowly in the background. I am wondering how long will it be till some enterprising Congrescritter introduces a bill that makes it a Federal Felony to insult an elected official. I have seen this repeated plenty of times across South America and believe Europe in a couple of places. We old heads know that criticizing anybody in power in the old USSR usually ended up with a forced trip to the Siberian Timeshares for 10 years or more.
