The “Newcomers” were the aliens in “Alien Nation”. They were more skilled and in-tune with American culture than the illegals.
Is it just me, or does the girl in that poster for V look terrified?
Seriously, I have seen girls with lower levels of terror standing in front of Joe Biden.
That was probably on purpose, as the V presented a friendly face, but were actually lizards harvesting people for food. So slip a little terrified look on a poster in the series, to make them unsettling.
That first photo reminds me of a famous building https://evoluon.com/en . I grew up in a village a few miles from the city where that is located; originally it was a science and technology exhibit created by Philips (for their 75th anniversary). Somehow it managed not to be torn down even though Philips closed it down years ago. It still looks amazing even though it’s more than 50 years old now.
