Will you close it? I almost had a heart attack when I stepped outside just now.
Not saying I am wearing socks, but the flip flops were quickly substituted for more covered foot garments.
You bastards are enjoying this, don’t you?
Where a Hispanic Catholic, and a Computer Geek write about Gun Rights, Self Defense and whatever else we can think about.

Semi-retired like Vito Corleone before the heart attack. Consiglieri to J.Kb and AWA. I lived in a Gun Control Paradise: It sucked and got people killed. I do believe that Freedom scares the political elites.

I for one like autumn. My favorite season … except for the leaf raking.
You’re not alone, it was a chilly 62 in south Georgia when I stepped out my door this morning. It caught me off guard as well.
Oh no. I’m not enjoying this at all. I’m waiting for the first snow to fly when you remember that 32 is 0 and it is “below zero”
55 in Houston, and yes, I’m enjoying the hell out of it.
Just wait til the first day when its in the 40s when you wake up and in the 80s before lunch.
Wait until you see that number w. a negative and the words ‘wind chill’ next to it.
Wait until you see that number with a negative, without the wind chill modifier.
Where I am, we call 48° “T-shirt” weather.
just wait for it – – – 😉
long johns + silk socks + wool socks + shoes + t-shirt + long sleve Pendleton shirt + sweatshirt and that’s indoors (unless you have the thermostat @ 70ºF) – – – out doors add a hat + hooded down coat + gloves + rubber boots in the normal snow – – – might add a full face mask if the weather turns nasty – and don’t forget to add cold weather safety gear to your vehicle. ( tow strap/chain, tire chains, water, blankets, no flame heater packs, some food, shovel, etc )
OH ! and don’t forget to buy a snow shovel
Welcome to the land of more than one Seasons.
Soon you get to learn about how to drive in the white stuff (hint, slowly).
I’ve been told it takes longer for one’s blood to thicken in colder climes than it does for it to thin in colder ones. Good luck!
