Semi-retired like Vito Corleone before the heart attack. Consiglieri to J.Kb and AWA. I lived in a Gun Control Paradise: It sucked and got people killed. I do believe that Freedom scares the political elites.

  1. I have no idea what pistol that is, but it is heavy and well worn. The fact that it is on a velcro belt still means it is a long time to get it into play, not to mention getting the hammer cocked or the slide racked.

This entire image is just so wrong on so many different levels. Running your belt through the trigger guard? Come on.

Where did you find this image? It strikes me as a non-us location but that’s just because my mind boggles at the level of stupidity exposed in this picture.

  2. This pic has been doing the rounds and the consensus is that the photo is from a US Army base overseas. The pistol is an M9 the clothes are Army PT gear, and the individual is probably a junior MP who was ordered to carry his pistol, but forbidden to wear a pistol belt and holster with PT uniform. Layers of stupid here.

    1. I showed this to some of my military buddies. Their thoughts were similar. One of those “you have to have a gun on you when you are out in the FOB” type rules and this solider either went for a run or was ordered to do PT and this was how he met the requirements.

I was never deployed but my CO wanted us to practice like that so we’d go on a battalion run once a week in PTs with rubber ducks.
