The article ia about a bunch of cities suing the State and the Governor in order to eliminate state Preemption of Firearms and Ammunition Laws. But the photograph caught my attention and it was not the flag but the firearm:
There is no Open Carry in Florida.
The photo is from a rally held in Harrisburg, Pa on April 14 of this year.
Why is the Herald using that particular illustration? I am will guess they are trying to scare readers into think we have some sort of Wild West life going across the State and that includes Open Carry.
Yes, I think they are being deceitful assholes because they can get away with it.
PS: I left them a comment asking why the pic was used. All comments from that article now appear to have been removed.
Actually Florida Law does allow for ‘Open Carry’ under certain situations, such as hiking, fishing, travelling to gun range and while at the gun range, or any other outdoor-activity where a person is vulnerable to an attack from wildlife or criminals while enjoying nature. For instance your home and curtilage, extended property also is covered for open carry under Florida law.
Granma north is known for censoring the truth. I have had many a comment disapear into the ether. BTW, must have been a gitch as your comment was there as well as others. I contrbuted to the fray.
