Because stuff like this:
According to this Canadian idiot, what is happening in Venezuela is not bad because kids there don’t look like Yemeni kids yet. That is some callous interpretation of how starvation is defined for political purposes (We should not forget the Great Patriotic Jenny Craig Diet in Ukraine under Stalin or the South Somalia Beach Diet), and I love how he needs to use the expression “intermittent supply” to parse food shortages.
And he could not find “verifiable” information even though it took me longer to type “Venezuela malnutrition” than getting a report (in English) In Venezuela, prevalence of malnutrition among children grows as economic crisis deepens from UNICEF.
I know he will come up with another mental twist to explain the contradictions and relevant information actually out there (The CIA hacked UNICEF) or if there is a hunger problem, it is the USA’s fault for the economic sanctions imposed on Venezuela which does not allow them to buy food and medicines from the USA, but won’t explain why Venezuela can still do business with the rest of the world but somehow does not happen either.
The motto has been SOCIALISMO O MUERTE! (Socialism or Death) I am guessing both are being accomplished.
I guess the slogan should be “Socialismo y Muerte”
