Where a Hispanic Catholic, and a Computer Geek write about Gun Rights, Self Defense and whatever else we can think about.

Semi-retired like Vito Corleone before the heart attack. Consiglieri to J.Kb and AWA. I lived in a Gun Control Paradise: It sucked and got people killed. I do believe that Freedom scares the political elites.

In this clip 0bama says he has been to 57 states, with one left to go. Then proceeds to name two states he hasn’t visited, Alaska, and Hawaii. So, he believes there are 59 states, evidently. 🙂 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EpGH02DtIws
How can he have not visited Hawaii if he was supposedly born there?
Unfortunately she’s absolutely correct when you factor in DC and Puerto Rico. Sometimes the conciseness of a tweet makes us look like a twit.
Neither of those is a state. one is a federal enclave, the other a territory.
TL…one IS an enclave. The other I expect to become a state sometime in the next 12-24months…since they petitioned for it.
Curly, even though Puerto Rico has petitioned for statehood, I’m not holding my breath. That doesn’t change the fact that, they are not yet a state, much less when 0bama spoke.
I’m not holding my breathe either…I just don’t see any reason why they wouldn’t be granted statehood. as to the rest. truth.
No telling, but D.C. has had a petition to become a state pending since 1980. And it’s within our own borders, which I’m not sure helps, or hurts it’s case.

This seems like something everyone should learn in elementary school. There are 50 states, 1 federal district and 5 territories.
You are assuming that schools want to turn out intelligent citizens.
People like that should just resort to “many” when they have to count more things than they have fingers. On one hand.
