Seriously, turn it in and go back North.
Residents in a Southwest Florida apartment complex found themselves trapped in an elevator thanks to something all too familiar in the Sunshine State – a live alligator that was sitting outside the door.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post that deputies responded to the complex near Estero after getting calls of the reptile keeping residents from being able to exit.
Small Alligator Keeps Residents Trapped Inside SW Florida Elevator: Sheriff
As Robert GE said when he sent me this news bit, my backyard critters are bigger than that.
The “trapped” people had to be Wuhan V refugees from up North. Calling the cops for basically a Geico commercial is just plain wrong.
Wait it was that size AND no angry momma around to chomp you? How was every young kid within a 10 block radius not fighting each other to be the one to catch that thing? Thats worth bragging rights for at least a month in the school yard for coolest critter competition.
Tell me about it. I’ve faced roosters that were more dangerous.
What I’d do is pull on some heavy gloves, grab a skewer and a chunk of meat. Stick meat on skewer. Lure that big green bastard into a cat carrier or cage, then close it up (I’d leave him the bait, no need to be a dick), then call Animal Control and ask them to come pick up their iguana 🙂
Sheesh. I can understand being startled, but hiding from something the size of a middlin’ housecat?
My wife says, “I’d make a handbag out of it”
