Yep….
Just like how 0 slashed the budget deficits. Real easy to do when you sign budgets into law that have a $1.4T deficit your first year in office. Dropping the deficit to a mere $900B looks good.
And… no, the 2009 budget does not belong to Bush. Obama signed the bills into law, he owns the spending.
Headline should have read: “Republican Districts succeeded in flattening the curve, Democrat districts have highest numbers of deaths.”
So the Democrat districts haven’t even succeeded in lowering their numbers to the height of the Republican districts, and their rate still remains 3x what the Republican districts’ are, but… their numbers are dropping! Yay! And Republican districts’ numbers are stable. BOO!
These people must be yoga masters to be able to twist themselves into these pretzel shapes for their “logic.”
All right, class, here is your first lesson in framing by the media. Read the headline. Seems pretty incontrovertible! Republican districts are really in trouble, aren’t they?
I decided to follow the link that goes with that picture.
Interesting. The headline on the whole article paints an utterly different picture, an accurate one:
“Coronavirus death toll is heavily concentrated in Democratic congressional districts”
