Brushfire Plague: On Kindle and On Sale.

About a year ago, I reviewed the book Brushfire Plague by R.P. Ruggiero. I liked the book as it was not the traditional Prepper/Survivor book where the hero is ready for the upcoming invasion of Zombie Locust from hell. The main characters have to learn the hard way what’s required to do to survive when things go down the drain in what we know as normal society.

R.P. Ruggiero has his next book, Brushfire Plague: Reckoning  and right now he has the original Brushfire Plague plus the new one on sale in Kindle format for the very affordable price of $4.95 each.

R.P. has been kind enough to send me a Dead Tree copy of Brushfire Plague: Reckoning for review and I expect it to be as good or better than the original. But you can go ahead and get started with the first one.

So…what are you still doing here? Git!

China cracks on Air Gun Owners: Protest Easy Guns approves?

Is Protest Easy Guns siding with China on Gun Control?  Wouldn’t that be special?
Those awful assault AIR rifles need to go.protest easy guns china

Peng Di (pseudonym), an engineer from Wuhan, Central China’s Hubei Province, did not expect to spend the rest of his life in prison or face the death penalty, for a hobby.

Despite the fact that China has many gun enthusiasts, the hobby has its risks. Peng went further than simply studying guns and decided to buy 1,300 air gun pellets online from a US vendor in 2011.

Peng was charged with smuggling ammunition after he bought over 1,000 non-military bullets from overseas and claimed they were steel ball bearings to escape customs checks.

Once more we have proof that when Gun Control advocates say “We don’t want to ban all guns, that is silly!”  they are giving you a dose of death by a thousand paper cuts. It is interesting to see that Globaltimes.cn (Chinese News org.) is actually using language associated with US Gun Control zealots.

Not surprisingly, the article demonstrates the stupidity of trying to “un-invent” the concept of guns. A tightly controlling entity like the Chinese Government cannot stop people from smuggling and building their own weapons:

“You can make an air gun and even a shotgun with perfectly legal materials. Seamless steel tubes are viewed as technical and materials can be as simple as a soft drink bottle and air freshener,” said an administrator of a large online military forum on condition of anonymity.

And in true Chinese Gov fashion, they go hunting on the internet for those who seek info:

Among regular crackdowns, police departments launched a “Net clearance” campaign this year, clearing up more than 100,000 illegal messages and shutting down 1,233 websites.

I guess Protest Easy Guns would not mind seeing the same strategy applied to the US. That damned Bill of Rights is getting in the way of True Peace.

Cruiser Ready….

Michael Nugent of San Diego was killed by a shotgun blast as he and his best friend were inspecting the gun in a bedroom of the house on Gallatin Way about 1 a.m., homicide Lt. Mike Hastings said…..Authorities are investigating witness claims that the gun went off when it was accidentally dropped.

Listening to an episode of the ProArms Podcast, I learned what did the term Cruiser Ready meant and why. Cruiser Ready is a pump shotgun that is fully loaded with the safety on and no round in chamber. Police carries it this way in the patrol cars as the design of most (if not all) pump shotguns have it that the safety blocks the trigger but not the firing pin. That means that a round in the chamber and the police car rolling over something hard enough to move the firing pin, could create an accidental discharge and the vehicle suddenly acquire a partial sunroof.

This is what might have happened in this case. Drop the shotgun on its butt with enough force and it may have gong bang and take a life.

Brady Campaign Irrelevancy as they Can’t Finish The Job.

Brady Finish the Job signaturesThis Finish The Job thing got launched on November 11, 2013 during the Brady National Summit if I am not mistaken. You know you are irrelevant when two weeks later you have barely managed 15,000 signatures and still have not reached the low-ball limit of 17,000 which makes it as much a failure as Obamacare. At least they have the excuse that their website does not work.

They are getting desperate. (Updated)

This is the new “In” thing for Thanksgivings according to the Gun “Safety” Zealots:

CSGV Desperation thanksgivingsHow desperate do you have to be to actually propose to sabotage Thanksgiving Dinner with politics? What is next? Badgering people in public restrooms?

We are winning.

Update:

And now is Mayors Against Illegal Guns (A.K.A. Mayors Waiting to be Arrested and Prosecuted)

MAIG Desperation thanksgivingsDoes that mean we should bring the rest of the Bill of Rights to the same restrictions imposed on the Second Amendment? Sadly for this bunch, the answer would be a very loud YES.

I suggest you consider adding one gun to a holster, and then adding that holster to your hip. At a certain point we — the pool of potential victims — must refuse to fulfill that destiny.

Good read… A complicit society and media refuses to acknowledge the problem so they won’t be called awful names and people are getting killed because of it. I guess it is easier to accept an innocent stranger’s death that being a stand-up individual.
