SCHAUMBURG, Ill. (WLS) — The driver of an SUV that barreled through Woodfield Mall causing chaos and panic, had done extensive research on the sprawling complex in the days leading up to the rampage, authorities said on Sunday.

Javier Garcia, 22, was charged with terrorism early Sunday morning after allegedly plowing his speeding vehicle through an unprotected Sears entryway and straight into the mall, Illinois largest shopping center. The incident occurred Friday afternoon, September 20.
The Palatine man’s motive is still not certain according to police, but new details of his alleged research portray what happened as a planned attack.

Investigators say they examined the history on Garcia’s cell phone and determined that he “searched Woodfield mall, the aerial view of the mall and mall premises 124 times between 9/19/19 at 14:38 – 9/20/19 at 12:55.”

A 12-year-old black girl from Virginia has recanted an accusation that her white sixth grade classmates pinned her down and cut off her dreadlocks, her family said in a statement Monday. Stephen Danish, the head of Immanuel Christian School, also confirmed the allegations were false.

Following an investigation by the Fairfax County Police Department, Danish said Amari Allen, the student who accused three of her classmates of assault, acknowledged the accusations were not true.

It is hip to be  victim, it is cool to use social media mob power to scare your classmates and the school.

We usually blame the parents for the stupidity of kids, but I may have to make an exception this time as they stepped up, apologized and understand there will be consequences.

Allen’s family apologized to the boys and the school for “the pain and anxiety these allegations have caused.”

“To the administrators and families of Immanuel Christian School, we are sorry for the damage this incident has done to trust within the school family and the undue scorn it has brought to the school,” the family said. “We understand there will be consequences, and we’re prepared to take responsibility for them.”

They added, “To the broader community, who rallied in such passionate support for our daughter, we apologize for betraying your trust.”

My hat’s off to them. That is not the usual Nonapologetic excuse we are used to hear. Maybe there is  chance the idiotic girl does get her life turned around.

This is in Canada. From what I have seen of Canadians, they are very nice people and not in their culture to be abusive of the elderly.
Those punk assholes have done more to hurt whatever perceived complain they had by behaving like shock troops against that old couple.

I got a call around noon from  very polite man from Taurus letting me know that unfortunately my Rossi could not be fixed. I have no idea what could it be and di not ask (metal treatment?) but I was informed the gun will be slate for destruction and that in the next couple of weeks I will be having to visit my FFL to get Taurus 605 as compensation.

From the reviews I have seen online, people like the little gun. I did discover that it is a 5-shot while the Rossi was a six shooter. The only “complain” I have is I will need to get me some speed loaders for it since all I have are the Safariland six rounders that also worked on my S&W. Basically, I ain’t complaining.

In prepping for my last post, I found an article by Think Progress about the threatening letter to the Supreme Court from Senator Sheldon Whitehouse.

It’s the same bullshit opinion other Left-leaning sites have written about the topic.

What stood out to me was a part of the last paragraph.

In other words, Republicans may come to find that by seizing control of the judiciary through constitutional hardball, they did so much damage to their prize that it is no longer worth having. The Whitehouse brief is an early warning sign that Democratic elected officials are, at the very least, ambivalent about whether they should obey courts that are increasingly seen as illegitimate. If those courts push too hard, that ambivalence could harden into something that will do permanent damage to judicial power.

This is the next stage for the Democrat Party, especially if Trump gets to replace Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

They will no longer obey the courts in any fashion.  They will simply ignore any ruling against them and will flagrantly violate the law using the defense that the courts have no authority because Orange Man Bad.

So what happens when the Democrats openly stop obeying the law?

They might have to be reminded that at the end of the day “power grows out of the barrel of a gun.”  It is obedience to the courts that stops it from going that far.

In the last few days, the media has gone nuts that Trump suggested that an abuse of the law by the Democrats to impeach him could spark a civil war.

If the Democrats decide that the law no longer matters and they won’t obey the courts, they will just continue to go full-steam ahead doing what they want, Trump’s Tweet isn’t wrong.
