Twitter Trends are no longer what you want it to be. (UPDATE)

After the latest change in Twitter, you may or may not have noticed that the trend feed is a bit different as in “WTF is this shit even in my results?”

I keep mine in Venezuela as to check the latest down there, but for the last several days although it is still set for it, I am getting results I know do not fit with what usually comes out from down there:

I doubt pretty much anybody down there cares about the shooting at Pearl Harbor,  knows what Fake Outrage is (language and all) and could not give to craps about Pelosi.

I went ahead and checked other countries’ trends and according to Twitter, the whole planet is pretty much talking about the same thing:

According to Twitter:

Trends are determined by an algorithm and, by default, are tailored for you based on who you follow, your interests, and your location. This algorithm identifies topics that are popular now, rather than topics that have been popular for a while or on a daily basis, to help you discover the hottest emerging topics of discussion on Twitter.

Bolds are mine. Help me? I am always suspicious when my information feed is being “helped” by people I do not know and the outcome is the disappearance of such information.

You can choose to see trends that are not tailored for you by selecting a specific trends location on twitter.com, iOS, or Android (instructions below). Location trends identify popular topics among people in a specific geographic location.

Well little one, that ain’t happening, is it? I am sure that the connotation of “ass” in three of the four countries above is not an expression of disbelief but a pack animal and very likely not the top five of their Twitter discussions. Now I cannot even believe what is being shown “trending” in my particular location is truthful because as much as I may like Egypt and its history, I doubt Miami and El Cairo have the same similar concerns this morning.

But no, we are not being informational manipulated for upcoming elections. Trust Without Verify.

UPDATE: I sent a notification to @TwitterHelp and my trends are back to normal. I guess somebody forgot to flip a switch after the last update. I can no keep track of the triumph of Socialism in Venezuela over the evil US Empire…or crap like that.

The Miami Herald Editorial Board: We Keep lying about Zimmerman because we can.

Dear Lord, George Zimmerman has riled up a lot of media people again.

The Zimmerman case was made up of pure political lust and the ultimate use of the race card. So much so that a new type of white race was created so they could be have a bad guy as mandated by the Race Baiters. It does not matter that the initial investigation supported Zimmerman’s account, it does not matter that the DOJ and the FBI looked into the case and quickly walked away from it for lack of evidence. The only thing that mattered was to have a legal lynching in the era of Obama so a police chief was sacked, Media was caught editing the 911 call to make Zimmerman sound racist and poison the jury pool, a state prosecutor with stars in her eyes ordered an arrest and presented an affidavit to the court that was called shameful by Liberal Legal Eagle Alan Dershowitz and George Zimmerman went to legal hell for political benefit.

But back to the Herald. This caught my immediate attention

A struggle ensued and the teen was fatally wounded by the armed Zimmerman. Zimmerman’s attorney used the Stand Your Ground defense in his 2013 trial.

This is a Florida Liberal mantra. Stand Your Ground is still hated by the Media and the Liberal clique. Every Legal “expert” was brought in front of a camera and they explained to the public that more than likely, Zimmerman’s lawyers would demand to be tried via Stand Your Ground.

They didn’t. They went straight for a case of self defense. The Herald knows this, they covered the trial in depth and they have been corrected over and over every time the repeat the same error/falsehood. It leads you to think that they may be lying on purpose just because they can get away again and again.

And if lying is not enough:

But back to Zimmerman’s lawsuit: Setting aside the arrogance, irony and the merits of the case aside, we have one wish for Zimmerman, who’s turned into a bad penny since this tragedy occurred..

Zimmerman is arrogant because he was railroaded by politicians and Race Biters into a trial that left him with two million dollars of debt. For some reason that escapes me, the Herald Editorial Board finds the lawsuit ironic, maybe because the law protects victims of criminals who used deadly force in self-defense from the family of the feloniously departed to make some dough. But you must ignore the merits of the case, merits that allowed Zimmerman to escape the legal lynching by a jury finding him not guilty: please ignore all that says the Herald because in their opinion Zimmerman is scum.

The Martin’s family attorney, Benjamin Crump, called the suit “unfounded” and “another failed attempt to defend the indefensible and a shameless attempt to profit off the lives and grief of others.” That sounds about right.

Whys shouldn’t he profit? Lord knows his parents have been extracting every penny they can out of Trayvon’s faux story created to sell books, hoodies and pity party donations. Hell, mom is launching a political career riding on the bones of her son.

Why would you do that? (Graphic Video)

On November 29, 2019, shortly after 9 PM, Modesto Police Officers responded to the Motel 6 located at 1920 West Orangeburg Avenue in Northwest Modesto to assist a bail bondsman with taking a wanted subject into custody. The wanted subject was identified as 54-year-old Raymond Lee of Modesto. Lee had outstanding felony warrants. During the contact at the hotel room, Lee brandished a weapon towards officers. Two officers fired their weapons, striking Lee, who died at the scene from his injuries. It was later discovered that Lee’s weapon was a BB gun.

Again, they don’t think like us. I have three cops aiming guns at me and bet your kid’s college fund I won’t ever remember how to breathe, much less move and reach for anything. What was this? Suicide by Cop? “You’ll never catch me alive flatfoot!” You can get out of prison but from six feet gets trickier.

If they don’t give a damn about their lives, how much worth do you think they have for yours?

Why do we use protective gear at the range?

Stole this from the Southern Institute of Firearms Training’s Facebook page.  I have seen copper jackets and bullets bounce back 25 and more yards, most of the time they are pretty much spent when they reach you, but sometimes the conditions and moons align and blood gets spilled. There is no doubt in my mind that jacket would seriously injure an unprotected eye.

Why I would not make a good celebrity

From The Hill:

This prompted Momoa to comment under “The Guardians of the Galaxy” star’s photo saying, “Bro i love you but wtf on the water bottle. no single use plastic. come on.”

Pratt apologized in response saying, “Aquaman! You’re completely right. Dammit. I always carry my big gallon size reusable water jug with me too. I even had it that day!!!”

“Love you too buddy,” Pratt added in his reply. “My bad. I don’t want your home of Atlantis covered in plastic. Hear that kids? Reduce. Reuse. Recycle.”

This is why I would make a bad celebrity.

My response would be to post a picture of me throwing that bottle in the ocean with the caption “Go fishing Aquadick.  Also, my franchise made more money than yours.”

George Zimmerman: There might still be a bit of bias against him in the Media

Zimmerman is suing a bunch of people for  manufacturing evidence, defamation, abuse of civil process and conspiracy among others. I will try to post the paperwork when I can find it, but in the meantime look at these Facebook headlines:

Help me out here folks: Zimmerman is not in jail, not having to face a judge, basically nothing to do with being present n court in jail rompers, so why did the Sun Sentinel used that particular photo? Even the Miami Herald used a heavily cropped one of him dressed nicely and  looking like a regular insurance salesman.

But no, Bias? Fake news? NEVAH!
