‘Woke’ college majors threatened under controversial Florida bill

Florida lawmakers are weighing a bill that would cut state-funded scholarship money for college students pursuing degrees with low employment prospects.

SB-86, sponsored by Sen. Dennis Baxley, R-Ocala, passed the Senate Education Committee earlier this month and is on its way to the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Education, which will consider the measure next week.

Under the proposal, money from Florida’s Bright Futures Scholarship program would be exclusive to students who choose to pursue a degree from a list approved by the Board of Governors and Board of Education.

Opponents of the measure told the station that it unfairly puts liberal arts degrees at an unfair advantage and that the government ought not to be involved in choosing what scholarship money covers.

In a letter to state senators on Monday, Baxley said he believes that all students should be encouraged to pursue their passions, but noted that “higher education comes at a significant cost to both students and taxpayers and there needs to be at least some element of career planning involved.”

“We have awakened a giant. We have to reconnect the education and economic model and we have begun that process,” Baxley wrote.

I absolutely and wholeheartedly agree with this.

The Liberal line is correct, college is an investment in your future.  And like in any investment, you shouldn’t invest in a bad idea doomed to flop.

Why should investment in college be any different, we should be wise investors and only put money into kids who look like they are going to have a positive return on that investment.

Florida needs this bill to become law.  Then Ron DeSantis needs to get elected to the Presidency and this needs to become Federal law.

Self-defense and the defense of the innocent are paramount.

The woman assaulting the Asian woman should not and cannot be allowed to hide behind “but it’s wrong to hit a woman.”

HOLLYWOOD, FLA. (WSVN) – A Hallandale Beach man who had reported a coyote in his neighborhood said he was nearly taken into custody after he refused to sign a citation for feeding wildlife.
Frankie Gadman said he deemed it unfair that he should be punished, since he was the one who reported the animal, Tuesday morning.
“I openly admitted that I fed a raccoon on the news and to the officers,” he said. “They could have come by and educated me on the situation rather than treat me like I did something wrong.”
But feeding wild animals is against the law in Florida.

Officials said there was food in Gadman’s backyard set out for the neighborhood raccoon.
When officers came knocking Wednesday, Gadman said he was completely caught off guard.
“I said, ‘I was just trying to do a good deed here, and now you’re threatening to put me into jail?’ It’s crazy,” he said.
In the end, the handcuffs came off, and Gadman agreed to sign the ticket. He learned a tough lesson to the tune of $105.

Sources: Secret Service inserted itself into case of Hunter Biden’s gun

On Oct. 23, 2018, President Joe Biden’s son Hunter and daughter in law Hallie were involved in a bizarre incident in which Hallie took Hunter’s gun and threw it in a trash can behind a grocery store, only to return later to find it gone.

Delaware police began investigating, concerned that the trash can was across from a high school and that the missing gun could be used in a crime, according to law enforcement officials and a copy of the police report obtained by POLITICO.

But a curious thing happened at the time: Secret Service agents approached the owner of the store where Hunter bought the gun and asked to take the paperwork involving the sale, according to two people, one of whom has firsthand knowledge of the episode and the other was briefed by a Secret Service agent after the fact.

The gun store owner refused to supply the paperwork, suspecting that the Secret Service officers wanted to hide Hunter’s ownership of the missing gun in case it were to be involved in a crime, the two people said.

The Secret Service says it has no record of its agents investigating the incident, and Joe Biden, who was not under protection at the time, said through a spokesperson he has no knowledge of any Secret Service involvement.

POLITICO obtained copies of the Firearms Transaction Record and a receipt for the gun dated Oct. 12, 2018.

Hunter responded “no” to a question on the transaction record that asks, “Are you an unlawful user of, or addicted to, marijuana or any depressant, stimulant, narcotic drug, or any other controlled substance?” Five years earlier, he had been discharged from the Navy Reserve after testing positive for cocaine, and he and family members have spoken about his history of drug use.

Lying on the form is a felony, though prosecutions for it are exceedingly rare.

The incident began when Hallie searched Hunter’s pickup, which was parked at her home in Wilmington, because of unspecified “suspicions she had,” according to the Delaware State Police report. Inside the truck, she found a .38 revolver.

Hallie took the gun to Janssen’s Market, a nearby high-end grocery store where the Bidens are longtime regular customers. There, she tossed the gun, wrapped in a black shopping bag, into a trash bin outside of the store.

Later that day, Hallie informed Hunter of what she had done, and he instructed her to retrieve the gun, according to the police report. When Hallie returned to the grocery store, she found that the gun was missing from the garbage bin and reported the issue to the store.

In addition to questioning Hallie, police called Hunter to the scene, where he was questioned outside the store’s loading dock area and explained he used the gun for target practice, according to the report.

While police questioned Hunter and Hallie, two Secret Service agents arrived at the store where Hunter had purchased the gun, StarQuest Shooters & Survival Supply in Wilmington, according to the two people familiar with the incident. The agents showed their badges and identification cards to Palmieri, the store’s owner, and asked to take possession of the Firearms Transaction Record that Hunter had filled out to buy the gun earlier that month, according to the people familiar with the incident.

Palmieri refused to hand over the transaction record to the Secret Service agents because such records fall under the purview of the ATF. The Secret Service agents left without the records, according to the people familiar with the case. Later that day, the ATF arrived at the store to inspect the records.

The drug addict son of the former Vice President, who was given an administrative discharge from the Navy for drug use, lied on a form 4437 to illegally purchase a gun.

It should be noted at this point that Hunter’s administrative discharge in and of itself was seen by many as corrupt as Hunter deserved a dishonorable or bad-conduct discharge but because he was the Vice President at the time, the Navy was soft on Hunter.

Hunter’s sister-in-law girlfriend stole the gun and threw it in a dumpster behind a grocery store across the street from a high school.

The police were forced to get involved because the gun disappeared from the dumpster.

Then members of the US Secret Service, outside of their official duties, try to get the paperwork from the FFL, presumably to cover up the fact that Hunter lied on his 4473, which is a felony.

This is why YOU have to be subjected to new background check laws that severely hamper your Second Amendment rights.  Because Joe Biden knows the flaws in the background check system from when he had to have his USSS detail fix another one of Hunter’s felonious exploits, this one regarding dishonest firearm background checks.

Hunter and his brother’s widow with benefits break several gun laws, and you have to pay for their crimes with your rights.

The rest of us must be subjected to laws that the President’s crackhead, licentious, whore-loving son can violate and then get daddy’s Pretorian Guard to cover up.

Southwest Airlines pilot on hot mic rants against Bay-area ‘liberal f—s’

A Southwest Airlines pilot’s recorded rant about Bay Area residents quickly went viral online this week, with the pilot at one point calling those who live in San Francisco “goddamn liberal f—s.”

The pilot, who Southwest has not publicly identified by name, can be heard in the recording beginning to complain about San Francisco residents amid directions from air traffic controllers on weather and runway conditions.

“F— this place, goddamn liberal f—s,” he said, before he was interrupted by an air traffic professional.

He later continues his rant, saying, “F—ing weirdos, probably driving around in f—ing Hyundais, f—ing roads and shit that go slow as f—.”

“You don’t have balls unless you’re f—ing rolling coal, man, goddamn it,” he added.

I suspect that they think it will be like Wakanda.

I know enough history to know that there were at least two black ethnostates created by freed slaves and free blacks, Liberia and Sierra Leone.

We all know what happened there.

Then there was the marxist ethnostate of Zimbabwe formed from the end of Rhodesia.

We can also add to this the recent autonomous zones in the US.

Creating a stable nation is difficult.

Militants creating one for self segregation is not a great foundation for a stable nation.

I’m willing to let these people try it.

I’m just not going to be surprised if it ends with war lords having subordinates chop off hands and shoot people.

Update:

I want to make this clear, my criticism should not be taken as racism.

As one commenter pointed out, the partition of India and Pakistan to create ethnostates and the formation of Palestine were exercises in violence and corruption.

Even the rise of Nazi Germany, another ethnostate happened with mass murder and political violence.

I can think of only one quasi-ethnostate that has existed without corruption and purges and that’s Israel.  And that is a quasi-ethnostate at best, bound by a majority common religion and not an ethnicity.

Ethnostates fail because the ethnic identity sepratism used to justify their formation is not enough to hold them together in stability.
