The depiction of Blacks as apes & monkeys found expression in mainstreamed popular culture around the turn of the century, especially in postcards. Often it was the zip or urban coon that was being caricatured, for the amusement of White consumers.

Ain’t double standards wonderful? But then again, the Democratic party has always been the refuge of the truly racist.
It’s all justified because he’s ‘Black Trump’. So it’s not ‘racism’ but ‘punching a nazi’.
It’s only a double standard if you think they actually care about fighting bigotry. Bigotry is their best weapon.
