A National Right to Carry Bill brings a smile to my face. Apart from the obvious, the thought of Criminals in places like New York or L.A. having to rethink the idea of hitting tourist is just too much not to enjoy. I can envision a couple of thugs scratching their plans to attack a couple of tourists because they found out they sound or look like they are from Florida or Texas or whatever “retrograde” state we might come from.
NYC would benefit enormously from the Tourist trade: Not only we would bring our monies to town, we get to reduce the crime rate without any additional expenditure for cops or equipment.

Yep, that and I really don’t need to think of what state lines I cross and where. Foolish to think that its fine for me to Carry in Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont, but if I cross into Connecticut or Rhode Island suddenly its a crime for me to carry?
Bullshit! My Drivers license is good in 50 states, my marriage license is good in 50, Why do I have to have 4 Carry permits in my wallet AND still have to be aware of what states I travel to and through?
As much as I would love full reciprocity across all the 49 states that allow concealed carry, I very much do NOT want Washington DC involved in it. Remember that in in 1986 you pretty much culd /not/ carry in any state:

within 10 to 15, I’d suggest half of these will go from blue to green (constitutional carry).
OTOH, should DC deign to grant required reciprocity, in 10 to 15 we’ll have NO right to carry, as some Congress will remove what another granted.
I’d rather be patient and let the states work it out among themselves — those maps show we’re more likely yo get what we want by way of the state legislators.
