Another reader (please send me your nickname/Comment section name) sent me this one:

Here is the ammunition aisle at the WalMart a friend in Lakeland sent me this morning. There is still ammo at my LGS, but it is picked over. They have a 2 box limit per caliber for each customer. I got 2 boxes each of 9mm, .45ACP, .40S&W, .357Sig, 12 gauge 00 buck, and .380ACP.

I have plenty, but could always have more.

HOARDERS!!!! 😀 😀 😀

      1. That was me who sent that. When I used to shoot IDPA, I shot 357SIG. I like the way it shoots.
I don’t know why I still buy ammo, having lost all of my guns last year while fishing.

        1. Soothes the pain of loss.

Seriously, though, it seems to me to be a way underrated cartridge. I like being able to switch a pistol between 357SIG and .40S&W with just a barrel change – appeals to the gearhead in me, I suppose.

          1. My S&W M&P40 is a three caliber pistol- I have barrels for .40, .357, and 9mm for it. The best thing about .357 is I find that the recoil is straight back- very little muzzle flip. I won quite a few IDPA matches with a Sig 229 in .357Sig.

                1. Not really surprising. I’m not familiar at all with S&W semi-autos, although I am rather fond of some of their revolvers.

    1. On further reflection, I may have to change my reloading plan when my press arrives in 2 weeks (Natchez has stock, but takes an age to ship it right now). I was going to do .308 Winchester for cost, but it looks like I should start with .223 or 9mm.

Only one rule: Don't be a dick.
