Don’t understand the disposable silverware. Surprised the leftist green crowd isn’t protesting the non-recyclable plastic use yet. The typical commercial dishwasher does a final rinse at around 185 degrees, more than enough to kill any nasties. Back in college, I worked the dish line in the dining hall for a bit and we had to let things cool before we could handle them to put them up.
I am definitely in the ‘not afraid of my own shadow’ camp. Hate going to the local Food Lion for groceries and getting the stink eye for not wearing a mask. Most of the staff isn’t wearing one either. Sorry folks, that bandana that you are wearing over just your mouth isn’t doing what you think it is.
I live in NC close enough to the NC/SC border that I have considered going to SC to do my shopping. SC is MUCH lighter on the lock down than NC.
Mike Dinger: Thanks for the heads up. Ya know, the “silver lining” from this cluster …er, hug…may be a new axis of analysis of relocation. Along with income tax. property tax, sales tax, gun laws, and so forth, we might add “unmasked fascist index”, wherein Mrs. Whitmer, simply to pull out one (Michigan) governor at random, might score an “8” on a zero-to-10 scale, and Governor Abbott of Texas scoring, say, a “2”.
Perhaps Gov. Cuomo might cause a recalibration of that scale, however.
