U.S. Attorney Billy J. Williams announced today that Edward Thomas Schinzing, 32, has been charged by criminal complaint with using fire to maliciously damage or destroy the Justice Center in downtown Portland on May 29, 2020.
Among those who entered the Justice Center, Schinzing was identified by a comparison with a jail booking photo and a distinctive tattoo of his last name across his upper back. Schinzing spread a fire that started near the front of the office by lighting additional papers on fire and moving them into a drawer of a separate cubicle.
If you are going to break into a federal office building and light it on fire, don’t do it shirtless with your name tattooed on your back.

Antifa is really sending its best and brightest to cause havoc in Portland.
How many of these noble social justice warriors are just unbalanced weirdos using the riots to indulge in their particular crazy kink, like pyromania? How many of the women are trying to work out their own personal daddy and mommy issues by screaming at the police and breaking things?
If you want the riots to stop, which apparently the local politicians in Portland, Seattle, NYC, Louisville and Atlanta do not; bring in enough police, or police and National Guard to surround the mobs and detain, then arrest people. Once they start getting arrested, fingerprinted, spend the night in jail, have to hire a lawyer and/or pay a fine, THEN it will get real, and the 80% of the people out rioting because it is the cool thing to do will EVAPORATE. They will suddenly want to stay home.
Look at Minneapolis the Sunday after Floyd’s death. They had a curfew, found the mobs, surrounded the protesters/ rioters with an overwhelming force, used pepper spray, pepper balls and flash bangs to herd them off the freeway, stopped anyone from escaping, and herded them together like the sheep they mostly were. The local TV Stations all got it live on their chopper cams, and then live on the ground with reporters. The mob was herded together, and told to STFD and STFU. They let them calm down for about an hour, then peeled them off one by one to be processed, arrested, cuffed, searched, and loaded on a bus to the county jail. Just like calves to branding. The arrestees were treated respectfully after they calmed down. By the end of Sunday evening some groups out after curfew were voluntarily surrendering to the police at the State Capitol.
Hell, the smarter idiots started bailing out when the saw the huge numbers of National Guard forming up. They realized they no longer out numbered the cops, because the NG finally showed up to play too.
Amazingly, the riots in Minneapolis and Saint Paul stopped after that. The protesters still came out in daylight, peacefully protested, and then dispersed before the curfew started. The protesters were out in mass every day for weeks, peacefully. No tear gas. They protested at the Capitol, the Governor’s Mansion, City Halls, the Jail, but they did it peacefully (except for a few knuckle heads that were arrested immediately). And the National Guard was deployed to watch, but not interfere in the protests for a week.
