Semi-retired like Vito Corleone before the heart attack. Consiglieri to J.Kb and AWA. I lived in a Gun Control Paradise: It sucked and got people killed. I do believe that Freedom scares the political elites.

Today is Human Rights Day.

Found out by coincidence in a tweet from a Venezuelan source. It is all about the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. I had to laugh knowing how well it is working there and in many other places around the world.

But I specially like Article 3:

Everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of person.

You damn right we do, Skippy. In this country, Article 3 was defined with the Second Amendment in March 4, 1789.

I am sorry to report that the weapon shown was lost to a tragic air boat accident and it is lost in the Everglades somewhere.

One of the greatest incongruencies you will ever see is people trying to defend both Article 3 and the fact that they surrender it to the State. They do not get that if a right is under the control of a government, stops being a right and becomes a privilege that can be and will be) removed at any time.  They know damn well that history tells us that it will be the State the first one that will violate Article 3, but somehow they still place their trust in it.

Very few counties can celebrate today the true meaning of Article 3 (and some other others too) and that is because we can assure a despotic Government that they do not have a Monopoly of Killing.

French Armored Personnel Carrier with the EU flag…and that is news?

By the way some people are reacting, you could swear President Macron made a pact with the European Community and surrendered France to them.

Although I would not be surprised that Macron would surrender his Country to a foreing entity (Lord knows France does have a history of bending over) I am afraid that we cannot blame this on him. France surrounded to the EU long ago as show by its passport.

“Aww shit Miguel, there you go again. The passport thing ain’t bad!”

I am sure not. I guess you would not be bothered by something like this with Open Borders, right?

I get the idea, but…

I am with mom at the medical center. They cater to the elderly and it also offers activities, a place to sit safely and talk with friends and even meals.

But 5 minutes ago, techno music started to thump and a therapist started to herd the “viejitos” to the meeting room and get them to dance.

You know a hip or two are gonna go south before this is over.

Florida schools cover up crimes: Rapes, guns and more (But Blame the NRA, right?)

From rapes to arsons to guns, Florida’s school districts are hiding countless crimes that take place on campus, defying state laws and leaving parents with the false impression that children are safer than they are.
Many serious offenses — and even minor ones — are never reported to the state as required, an investigation by the South Florida Sun Sentinel found. A staggering number of schools report no incidents at all — no bullying, no trespassing, nothing.

Florida schools cover up crimes: Rapes, guns and more

First we heard about it with Trayvon Martin case and then with Marjorie Stoneman Douglass High School shooting: Crimes and dangerous behavior in school were being covered-memory holed-not reported. Now and thanks to an amazing work by the Sun Sentinel we find out it is an endemic issue across the state.

“At Parker Elementary in Panama City, a 12-year-old boy stole a school bus in July 2014 and went on a two-hour joyride, just hours after he had appeared in court for another bus theft. The theft was never reported to the state. The school district did not respond to requests for comment.”

“Despite the warning, LaVoy Exceptional Center School in Tampa reported no sex crimes during the 2016-17 school year, the same year teacher George Summers molested a disabled teenage student. He’s now a registered sex offender.
Schools spokeswoman Tanya Arja said the district reported the crime to police, but annual safety reports list only incidents in which students are disciplined. Arja said she would ask the state to clarify, ignoring that the state had already made it clear many times before.”

Even murder has been ignored. A student at Coral Gables Senior High got a 40-year prison sentence for a fatal stabbing in 2009, a case that attracted national attention, but the Miami-Dade County school district never reported it to the state.

But it was always easier to blame Gun Owners. It was always easier to blame the NRA. It has been said that Florida’s Teacher’s Union and the School Boards are powerful mafias in the state and I have to say this seems to prove it. Will something be done? No idea, I hope some of the newly elected state legislators are already checking the legislation to see how will it be improved.  And let’s see if the new Governor and new State’s Attorney hit the ground running with this

As for Florida Gun Owners, we need to throw this back in the faces of our accusers, 24/7 and 365 days a year.

“Stop Blaming Guns. Fire the School Boards. Do It For The Children!”

VPC may be smoking that legal pot too much.

Thank God we are doing so bad that without December sales in, this years has been the third with most Firearms Background checks since NICS began.

Yes, there is an adjustment in the market and a lot of guns are cheap as the manufacturers are getting rid of the stock, but that is not what we VPC is trying to push and fact. Are we unpopular as culture? Only in the NY/LA areas.

I am not making bets, but with the new House trying to pass every kind of Gun Control bill they can, I suspect sales will be up again. In the meantime, get your inexpensive guns and make somebody in your life feel special.
