In case you never heard about it, there are great photoshop artists who dedicate themselves to restore and colorize old black and white pictures.

Buffalo Bill Colorized

This version of the well known Buffalo Bill photo has been colorized by Kurt Tutschek and I have to say it is a wonderful portrait. It feels like Mr. Cody was alive just yesterday, doesn’t it?

Semi-retired like Vito Corleone before the heart attack. Consiglieri to J.Kb and AWA. I lived in a Gun Control Paradise: It sucked and got people killed. I do believe that Freedom scares the political elites.

  1. There is a reason that colorized B&W films have stopped being popular. The process A) sucks, and B) ignores the fact that B&W photography (or film) is an art form in itself. Not inferior to color. (Or why did Woody Allen shoot Manhattan in B&W? It wasn’t because he couldn’t afford color.)

Colorized B&W photos don’t look better than the original.
