Without evidence of racial animus there was no basis for a Federal civil rights prosecution, and in fact none was forthcoming. Earlier this year, however, with public interest in him waning, Taaffe suddenly recalled that he had, after all, had a phone conversation with Zimmerman in which the media-described “white Hispanic” had voiced racial animus towards Martin.  It appeared, suddenly and literally incredibly, as if there might be a hook on which to hang a civil rights prosecution of Zimmerman after all.

Could this be true?

Short answer: no.

For reasons known only to the Orlando Sentinel, they waited until the 17th paragraph of their 22 paragraph online post to un-bury the lede:

Taaffe said he expected to testify about a phone call days before Zimmerman’s arrest from someone who claimed to be Zimmerman and made a “racial comment” about the case, Taaffe said.

He said the call came from an unknown number, so he couldn’t be 100 percent sure it was Zimmerman.

I am amazed that they were still trying to put Maybelline on that pig of a case.  I guess they figured it was worth the shot to keep playing Racial Politics so near to the elections, specially if the internal polls really showed they were about to take a beating.  When even Benjamin Crump, the Martin Family lawyer who got the whole racial angle started did not deign himself to comment about the new Federal attempt (at least none I could find in the web), you know they were in trouble.

Then again Mr. Crump is doing what he does best in another highly visible case charged with race: Ferguson’s Mike Brown.

Because it looks dangerous! It appears somebody used the picture of a 10/22 with aftermarket furniture and that is enough to transform it from a Plinker/Squirrel Killer to  Weapon of Mass Destruction comparable only with Fat Boy Man.

But it is an Internet Meme that agrees with my ideas so it must be true! So let’s have no Due Diligence in making sure and accept it.

A confrontation between gangs left a total of 11 killed in a farm in Altagracia de Orituco in Guarico state..

Apparently nine thugs entered on the San Juan de Dios in order to extort money from their employees. But 40 men of another criminal group with long and short weapons, allegedly from the band “The Picure”  came to the farm, apparently to steal  and confronted the nine antisocial who had arrived first.

Among the 11 dead reportedly include the first contingent of thugs and the rest are employees of the estate.

If it wasn’t for the fact that 2 innocent people died, this would have been a massive and laughable dose of karma. But it is just another reminder that with Gun Control, innocent people get caught in the middle without a chance to do anything.

Two men and a woman.
For the final test, the CIA agents took one of the men to a large metal door and handed him a gun.

Personally,  I will never own a gun. I have no intention of endangering my children with an unnecessary article of danger. Guns have no practical uses except for killing. One of my classmates knew the exact way to properly use a gun, but was still accidentally shot by the gun in his own household. Therefore, the only weapons I will have in my house are cooking knives, which will be placed out of reach. Your reference to “extinguishing” a psychologically disturbed child who tried to find answers to his problems using a gun repulses me. You are suggesting that teachers have the right to kill a child, rather than denying that child access to a gun in the first place. I suggest you think before you speak so nonchalantly about the deaths of children, Mr.Boch. Lives are not as disposable as a flame.
