In reality, Chevron may have broken the law by firing white men to use layoffs to boost diversity.

ConocoPhillips hired executives to boost diversity and inclusion.

The big oil and gas companies have donated to BLM, conduct “anti-racism” training on their employees, and waste huge sums of money on diversity initiatives.

The oil industry has gone woke at the Executive level.

And still the Squad burns them in Congress.

Was it worth it?

Was all the money wasted on going woke worth it?

Did if buy you any good will?

Because as a conservative who believes in energy independence, I want a robust oil and gas industry that bolsters the American economy.

Now the question to be asked is What is the “Greater Good? The health of the people, the rights of the employees of the $1.6 billion of taxpayer’s monies going into the treasury of UF Health?

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) – A 21-year-old man was shot and killed during or after a big party at an Airbnb in East Nashville late Thursday night, Metro Police said.

Police said at least four people were shot at 210 North Ninth Street. Police confirmed the man killed in the shooting was 21-year-old Robert D. Howard, who was found dead at the scene.

I understand the appeal of Airbnbs: Cheap, conveniently easy to rent and more “private” than your hotel room and lacks the control a hotel chain would have over your behavior and less hidden charges. And I am sure that 99% of all parties held in locations like this are without incident other than a pissed off neighbor complaining about the noise.

But bad stuff will happen if a party goes out of control and for some reason, incident s in these rentals seem to be on the rise. Any “house” part will attract the less than desirables which may lead to somebody taking a trip to the morgue.

The other thing that bothers me about Airbnbs is lock security. Hotel locks get (or should) automatically reprogrammed every time a guest’s check-out time is reached but I doubt that very expensive hotel system is applied to short-term rentals. So, unless the owner has a new digital lock with a keypad and bothers to change it after every rental, you are talking about standard hard keys for a lock I doubt pretty much it will be changed which means any previous occupant could have made a duplicate. And that ain’t kosher in my book of paranoia.

If I am forced to stay at one for more than one night, I’ll observe the locks installed and make a beeline to the nearest home improvement store, buy a couple of lock cylinders and change them just in case

Anyway, I will add Airbnbs to the list of “Stupid Places.”

So far what the investigation is showing points to a monumental and repeated collection of avoidable crew ups that led to the death of one person.

My prediction? There will be a great show in the Media but he won’t be going to jail anytime soon or ever.  As for Hannah Gutierrez Reed, (the set armorer) she will be legally sacrificed to appease the public. Mind you, she is also responsible for the death and wounding, but she is not the only one truly bearing blame. She is young, took on a responsibility she was clearly not prepared to take and people died: She must ne punished, but should not be the only one.

Have you noticed that Gun Control groups have gone silent or very muted on this incident? At bets they have released some milquetoast statement about the danger of guns or simply gone dark about it. The furious voices that keep demanding lengthy prison times for any negligent shooting suddenly remembered that they had an appointment with the Vietnamese manicurist and could not tweet an equally demanding post against Baldwin. Then again they do depend on the Hollywood Dancing Monkeys for access and donation, so they are very reluctant to crap n their beds.

I believe that we won’t be hearing about this case by thanksgiving.
