Skaters arriving at Central Park’s two ice rinks are in for a cold awakening next week — the rinks, which are both managed by the Trump Organization, are being shuttered by City Hall to punish the former president for the deadly Jan. 6 Capitol riot, The Post has learned.

The Trump Organization says its last day of operating the iconic Wollman Rink and the smaller Lasker Rink at the park’s northern end will be Sunday.

Fine. hell, de Blasio’s minion would have come out on top and with grace by simply saying that since Trump is no longer a resident (and you lost that taxing revenue), it makes sense to have the contracts assigned to some New York company that may have struggled with the ‘Rona-economic recession (that you created with your policies BTW) rather than somebody who left the city for greener pastures.

Checking some stuff about the Kung Flu, Google popped this in its page.

So a quick math shows that worldwide, 2.2% deaths out of 11 million tested* cases. The United States deaths pulls 1.77% out of 28 million tested cases.  Florida under the evil leadership of Governor DeSantis goes for 1.59% out of 1.86 million cases and my dear Miami-Dade county rakes in 1.37% from 400,000 tested cases.

First glaring indicator is that worldwide and using the not sot accurate marker of cases tested positive, ‘Rona has a 97.78% of being survived. That survival percentage increases in the US and even more in Florida and almost drops a full point in Miami Dade, the most populous county in the state.

I kept messing with my math and figured out that if the world would have followed the example of how things were done in Florida (and I grant you it has not been 100% perfect) and assuming worldwide we could get a 1.59% death rate, that would mean that 679,318 lives could have been saved.

And if Florida had followed the example of World and its experts, the body count would be a 40,920 or 11,229 more corpses. But DeSantis would probably be considered a not-so-bad Governor because he kept us locked down and killed the State’s economy.

As usual, check my numbers as I have been know to mess up even with a calculator, but the initial stats do come from “verified” sources.

(*) I know there could be many more tens of hundreds of thousands infected but untested thus lowering the death rate. But we go with what we have.

The bar for slander and libel is set much lower in Europe that here. From what I have read, the rapper said some unkind things about the King and other people plus an assortment of disgusting opinions, but nothing we have not heard at any BLM march. These laws were designed to (or so they said) to keep hateful speech and bullying under control but ended up making any speech they don’t like a felony.

So rightfully the people got pissed at the idea that a singer of nasty lyrics should spend three years in prison for expressing his art and ideas. They took to the streets and with them and in the name of fighting fascism, the Left Strike Forces pretty much took over the protests making them BLM-peaceful.

So now you have a public having to choose between returning to law and order even at the expense of Freedom of Speech or having to endure destructive riots and a disruption of normal life. And yes, they will pick Government to come save them because being not polite should be against the law anyway, right?   Don’t say nasty things and nothing bad will happen to you.

The Cancel Culture strikes again. This time against Baen editor Toni Weisskopf considered the best SciFi editor of any house. Worldcon had her to be Editor Guest of Honor, but a fake article and a bunch of harpies descended on the spineless assholes of the Con and she has been “uninvited.”

She was maligned as hell during the Sad Puppies controversy by the same assholes that now “offered” an olive branch, only to smack her again.
