Moms NRA Fear sales

It is almost pitiful to see them clinging to a script overcome by events. When New York and Connecticut send letters telling gun owners to destroy, dispose or turn in what just a few months before were legally bought and allowed by the same people who now demand them, when New jersey is discussing a bill that will include weapons designed in the 1800s just because they carry what legislators suddenly feel is too many rounds and magazines that fall under the same arbitrary definition with no grandfathering clause or amnesty period, we are not being paranoid: We were just plain right.

If anything, it has been your side the one that has been the best advertising for the two products you hate the most: Firearms and the Bill of Rights.

  1. That organizations list on opensecrets.org suggests that ActBlue have more money to throw around than all firearms organizations combined.

So really, the best way to get rich is to run for office as a Democrat.

    1. Any party in today’s world, unfortunately.
There’s no way a principled person can run for office any more. One little trout can’t swim upstream against an ocean; and that’s just the way the trout already upstream like it…

      1. Wait for it. Voters are starting to realize that people like McCain and Boehner are RINOs. The Republican party leaders who think the voters are too stupid to pick a conservative over a moderate are starting to have their bases turn on them.

And the reason it’s persisted too long is people like you say “Bah, there’s no real difference between any of them. Independant, Libertarian, Republican, Democrat, Conservative, Liberal, it’s just the same people.”

Liberal as he was, George W. Bush WAS a different person from Barrack H. Obama. Obama has all of Bush’s liberal tendencies and NONE of his conservative ones.

  2. What happened to “90% of Americans want gun-control”?
Seriously!? How and when did the narrative switch from “90% want gun-control” to “the public is being played”?
This seems like a Freudian slip to me. This seems to be an inadvertent admission that they’re losing, and don’t have public support! Yippee!

  3. shannon watts and her democrap cult organization should be banned from facebook for trying to destroy the constitution.

  4. One observation is that MDA openly tells it’s members to call 911 and make false police reports of being in danger at the mere sight of a person with a gun. And also based on her Dallas encounter with OCT group, she knew better than calling 911 herself but later had many press releases that claimed OCT were bullies and potential rapist (maybe their wives and children present where there to help). So an organization that openly advocates criminal behavior could be held accountable?

  5. Three points:
    1. There is no epidemic of gun violence. Murders involving firearms have been decreasing for decades.
    2. Saving our children involves having the means to do so. My firearms are here primarily to protect my family from criminals and against the government if need be. That is actual common sense (and not the silly and misdirected laws they support).
    3. The gun lobby? You mean the 5 million real Americans who choose to associate together for the defense of a Constitutional right? How is that evil? I assume they would not appreciate if we tried to take away their right to free speech and would form a lobby group to defend it.

Yup. Sometimes, it’s teh difference between an anchovey, apple jelly, and ketchup sandwich, and a shit sandwich.

Neither one is good for you, and both are likely to make you quite ill. But one is FAR more likely to land you in the Emergency Room.
