  1. OK now do Henry Kissinger already. Then Margaret Thatcher will have two companions in hell. I’m also cheering for the rest the gerontocracy to hurry up and die instead of emulating Mugabe.

  2. I will not do any kind of happy dance because she is dead. However, I will do a happy dance because her anti-freedom attitude and votes are no longer in the Senate.
Now, if only CA will elect a Senator that respects freedom for all. (OK, I went too far with that wish.)

    1. The next thing that will happen is that Governor Newsom will appoint somebody to take her place. When her term is up, then they will have elections to see who holds that Senate seat. I do not expect it to turn red, but it will no longer be a locked in blue. And I won’t have to read her “Assault Weapons Ban of 2024” which is just a repeat of her 2023, 2022, 2021,…2005 bills

      1. All the way back to ’93, at least, though she took a break for 10 years while that AWB was in effect.
        .
Nah, instead you’ll have to read Schumer’s and/or Pelosi’s “Assault Weapon Ban of 20xx” bills every year or two.
        .
Or, y’know, whatever other patsy they convince to introduce and sponsor it.

  3. The death of Dianne Feinstein leaves vacant her powerful Senate seat….
    .
Once again, the MSM demonstrates they have no idea how the government works under the Constitution — they make it sound like Dianne Feinstein was more powerful than other Senators, which is not the case; her vote counted the same as anyone else in the Senate because that’s how representative republics work. DiFi’s seat was “powerful” merely because she was the “senior Senator” from California, and that “seniority” is solely based on who’s had their seat the longest.
    .
IOW, Dianne Feinstein was the “senior Senator”, not Dianne Feinstein’s seat.
    .
Whoever Gov. Newsom appoints will not be the “senior Senator”; as the new guy/gal, he/she will be the “junior Senator” (or if we’re going all the way back to high school, the “freshman Senator”). Alex Padilla, CA’s other sitting Senator, is now the “senior Senator” from California.
    .
Contrary to what the article says, DiFi did not leave vacant a “powerful Senate seat”. If anything, her office will lose influence because whoever replaces her will not have her seniority or experience.

  4. I’m looking forward to how Newsom works out the simplex optimized replacement ….taking into account and balancing race, gender, ethnicity, background, current visibility, etc will pose an interesting exercise.

    1. I suspect he might just pick a black, trans-whatever, born in America to immigrant parents, socially visible, lifelong-Democrat and Antifa/BLM supporter.
      .
Y’know, check as many intersectional boxes as he can to claim the “First [Ridiculously-Specific Demographic] Senator” award*, and f*ck actual qualifications or political experience.
      .
      ———
      * – “First Black”, “First Woman”, “First Black Woman”, “First Openly-Gay”, “First Immigrant” … all the simple ones have been claimed, most years or decades ago. Nowadays, “First” anything needs to be more and more specific and multi-factored. But I bet Newsom could probably find someone in San Francisco to be the “First Black Muslim Openly-Gay Trans-Female Antifa TikTok-Influencer Senator” in American history, so there’s that.

    2. Newsom has said that he will appoint a black female replacement. I wonder if Willy Brown will be asked to do the “oral interviews” again as he did with Harris.

Only one rule: Don't be a dick.
