Just the announcement:

MKS Supply, LLC, exclusive marketer for American-made Hi-Point Firearms and Inland Manufacturing, values the customers that it proudly serves and the God-given freedoms that they enjoy. Because the right to keep and bear arms was recognized by our founding fathers to be a fundamental right, they ensured its protection under the Second Amendment. Just as we show our commitment to our customers by standing behind our products, we believe it is equally important to show our commitment to our customers by standing behind their Second Amendment rights.

In recent months, Dick’s Sporting Goods and its subsidiary, Field & Stream, have shown themselves, in our opinion, to be no friend of Americans’ Second Amendment. We believe that refusing to sell long guns to adults under age 21, while many young adults in our military are not similarly restricted, is wrong. We believe that villainizing modern sporting rifles in response to pressure from uninformed, anti-gun voices is wrong. We believe that hiring lobbyists to oppose American citizens’ freedoms secured by the Second Amendment is wrong. Dick’s Sporting Goods and Field & Stream, in purportedly doing all of these things, have demonstrated that they do not share our values.

MKS Supply, Hi-Point Firearms and Inland Manufacturing are standing by the American people by refusing any further sales to Dick’s Sporting Goods & Field & Stream. We are proud of our products, we are proud of our customers, and we are especially proud of the freedoms secured by our great U.S. Constitution. We are committed to all three.

Charles Brown
President, MKS Supply, LLC

  1. Hi-Point gets a lot of grief for making “cheap” guns, but their guns work and they are obviously patriots. Thank you Hi-Point!

    P.S. I love my Hi-Point 4595 carbine.

  2. Well said. It has come to be in OUR country that everything that is AMERICAN is being torn down by ill informed people. You gun-grabbers want to destroy the 2nd A. What are you going to do when they want to destroy the 1st A and all the others that are protecting our freedoms FROM THE GOVERNMENT. Why do you think the BILL OF RIGHTS was written and explained in the Federalist Papers. Read everything as if the government was the domestic enemy, BECAUSE IT IS.

  3. I have a .4095. not a super accurate gun but it’s not designed to be. And I do like to shoot. I dare you to find another carbine in .40S&W that’s not the vector or CX4. And one of those technically doesn’t exist anymore.

  4. Really want to see Dick’s gut punched?

Have the non-firearm companies drop them. If Columbia, North Face, Coleman, Bushnell, etc… decide that advocating against gun rights is not the image they want to be associated with, it will be much more devastating to their bottom line.

There are consequences for mixing politics and business. if you customers decide voluntarily to use your business as a way to make a political statement, that is fine. (Round up your purchase to the next dollar as a NRA donation for example.) But to force it… Nope, way to lose business.

And, seriously, EVERY business needs to concentrate on business, not on politics. It is about what the customer wants, not what management wants to see.

  5. Ooh I got. Dicks just got circumsised by hi point. ..or Dicks no longer morrally erect. I’m normally better at this. My apologies to your readers and for any spelling mistakes.
