Scotland before progressivism:

Scotland after progressivism:

Man to be sentenced for possession of potato peeler in public place

A MAN is to be sentenced after being found on a public street with an offensive weapon – a potato peeler.

Our sister paper the Dunfermline Press reported that Scott Walker, 39, of the James Bank Hostel, James Street, appeared from custody at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.

He admitted that on Saturday in Appin Crescent, a public place, he was in possession of an object which had a blade or was sharply pointed.

The object in question was a potato peeler.

His defence solicitor Selina McKay said her client “suffers from significant learning difficulties which have been lifelong”.

The Dunfermline Sheriff has arrested and charged a retarded man for having a potato peeler in public.  He may serve up to four years in prison.  For a potato peeler.  Potato.  Peeler.

Given the text of the arrest, it may very will be illegal to walk down a Scottish street with a pencil, seeing as that is also “possession of an object which had a blade or was sharply pointed.”

In the immortal words of Scottish hero, William Wallace “They may take away our kitchen utensils, and they’ll take our freedom!”

  1. I… errrr…..

    Wait, what? Seriously?

No. There has to be more to the story. It has to be that this man was threatening people or something. That he was arrested for other reasons, but they are adding this as a “piling on” charge or something.

    I have not the words.

Well, there is another one down the tubes. Too bad, I kind of liked Scotland.

  2. Don’t laugh too hard. I heard the Democrats are working towards putting people in jail for anything with a point. Crayons are high on the list. You think this is ridiculous, well low IQ of the children and those in Congress will fit the bill.
