They are bound and determined to assign us with a made up word that directly insults our language and heritage. Why? Probably because Latinos are slowly shifting Conservative and they hate seeing us stop picking vegetables and abandon the fields for better political pastures.
And why do we get aqua mops with eyes as representatives of the Latino culture? Somebody ran out of imagination, ran to the Sedano’s supermarket and found something in Miami Dolphin colors thinking it was “authentic” Latino?
Either these organizations who live in fantasy land will indoctrinate enough children so that this $hit will be the new “normal”…
Or, said children will age (while perhaps not growing up) and discover that the real world just doesn’t work that way. They will then be the proverbial squirrel in the middle of the road—unsure as to which way to go.

Imagine the hubris that it takes to alter Hispanic people’s 500 year old language to fit weird LGBT+ neurotic speech codes that are a year old and think that you are the good guy.
It is laziness.
They want to get recognition/praise/press, and do not want to actually do anything for it. They want it easy.
Remember a few months ago when Sesame Street introduced a homeless muppet? Like Oscar living in a garbage can for the last 50 years did not count?
