The No. 1 rule in all of Florida is: “the tourist dollars must flow.”

I’ve said before that “you don’t mess with the Mouse.”  Which is true, but thats a subset of Rule No. 1.

A Labor Day weekend hold would devastate the tourism industry.

Regardless of party, the politician who hurts the tourism industry will suffer.

I’m surprised that a tourism heavy state like Hawaii wouldn’t also have the same rule, but I guess they don’t.

Hawaii can committed economic suicide if it wants.  Florida will keep the tourist dollars flowing.

  1. Ah yes, such a wonderful way to honor all of the brave men and women who gave their lives for our nation. By imprisoning healthy American citizens in their homes.

  2. I hope Florida doesn’t do this. I desperately need to get away from home for a bit, and Florida is the most likely destination — specifically BECAUSE it’s open for tourism.
