The way I am reading it, if you display any video in your site, even if it is YOURS and you are not making a profit or denying profit to anybody, you must also have your full name. address, etc available in the website.
I foresee very dull websites with lots of “open in new tab.” I figure YouTube and others will not like the excess draw of their servers. It takes fewer resources to load an embed that the whole page and that is not counting the people who will simply do away with videos.
I read that as commercial recordings made for profit… I wonder if my cell phone video would be exempt since I sure as hell don’t make any money off it… sigh
What… what is that law trying to do, besides produce a chilling effect on widespread use of internet video?
If I post a video from here in Iowa, how is their law going to effect me? Does that mean that people in Florida can’t watch it? Have all the congress critters in Florida lost their minds?
Just wait until the full weight and secretive measure of the net neutering mandate gets unveiled.
