DC will not freeze at all. In fact, the “infrastructure” bill probably has earmarks for projects to run pipelines directly to DC energy producers. Oh, and funding for a large wall to keep the riff-raff out.

Enbridge Line 3 is a replacement pipeline for the 40 some year old original pipeline. There were lots of protests, lawsuits, and court orders to go back and do the same damn paperwork all over again. Fortunately AOC’s demaguogery is two months too late. The pipeline was finished in August, and put into service in September of this year.
Line 3 runs from Alberta and then across Northern Minnesota to Superior Wisconsin on Lake Superior. Enbridge Line 5 is the one that runs from Canada across Michigan to Detroit and back into Canada. They also want to shut that one down.
Remember when the Colonial Pipeline from Louisiana blew up last year? That pipeline shut down Washington DC.
The Colonial pipeline didn’t blow up. All that happened is that their billing software was hacked. The actual pipeline itself was never affected in any way, not even in its software. It was purely a company choice to shut it down; they could have left it going and sorted out the billing afterwards.
Cool. That will make the trucking and rail industries grind to halt, and will push air travel pricing way outside what the average person can afford. Nevermind not being able to refuel their own vehicles.
They’re too dumb to realize there won’t be a country left to impose their green energy mandates on when the whole thing collapses because nothing can move. But I preach to choir, we are all probably far more ready for this eventuality than a vast majority of Americans.
