Democrats in Missouri introduced startling anti-gun legislation that would require gun owners to hand over their legally purchased so-called “assault weapons” to “the appropriate law enforcement agency for destruction” within 90 days.
As we were expecting, the front is now in the local states at a legislature level. At the Federal level they know that the House will probably remain firmly in Republican hands (and some hands might even be Tea Party backed… gasp!) and they fear that the Senate may also end up in the other side. If you see Dem Senators suddenly reversing the Majority Rules, you know we are heading GOP in the chair count.
Go check your state’s legislature website and peruse the laws on the different tables. If you see something you don’t like, contact your State Gun Rights organization and ask them if they are aware of it and what do they think about it. And help them with a small donation or volunteering.

Quite possibly. Unless you mean ; stay abreast of what your states legislature is doing and be active in trying to stop antigun measures from being enacted. Be involved with your state’s gun rights organizations and don’t just sit around griping about stuff.
On that front, I’m a member of the NRA, the Texas State Rifle Association and I Have given to the SAF. I do what I can.
And even with all that, I still didn’t pay close enough attention to what you actually wrote. Mea Culpa.
It certainly makes more sense if it was in the works right after Sandy Hook, as opposed to now when gun control has become toxic and suicidal.
Still, I suspect what the two senators who introduced the bill really wanted was retirement. I doubt they’ll ever get elected for anything again.
As a Mo. voter, I can vouch that those tyrants will be retried

Luckily, the demorats from St Louis won’t see their bill do anything except die a horrible death. They need to put a fence around that shit hole and let the thugs and other animals have at it. Throw guns and ammo over the fence once a week until they solve the problem.

I can guarantee, without a doubt, that this bill will be completely crushed without contest in our state legislator. Luckily, this city is such a barren shit-hole that its population is shrinking rather than expanding. Whatever cretens the downtown and north downtown district vote into office are ALWAYS in a staggering minority in the MO legislature.
Have no fear Missourians and other concerned Americans, this state is VERY pro-gun and that’s not changing anytime soon. These turds introduce bills like this every session just so they can tell their uneducated welfare queens of their district that they “tried” to “curb gun violence” in the city.

Missourians need to stand strong at the next elections and vote these anti-gun 2nd amendment right trampling bastards out of office.
