I remember looking out the window of my hotel in Tel Aviv, back around 1997, and seeing a Chinese restaurant just across the street with a large sign proclaiming “Strictly Kosher”.
The cultural appropriations nuts would blow a gasket, but the idea made perfect sense to me.
