It’s hard to believe that people consider themselves more civilized because they let criminals victimize them, rather than making things more civil by getting rid of the members of society who insist on being anti-social.
I think it’s high time we start putting air quotes around “civilized”. Just like we do with “Progressive”, “gun control”, and the antis’ version of “gun safety” (which is really gun abstinence).

The quotes are there to differentiate between “civilized” behavior that empowers criminals against the law-abiding, and actual civilized behavior that empowers the law-abiding against the criminals.
