Semi-retired like Vito Corleone before the heart attack. Consiglieri to J.Kb and AWA. I lived in a Gun Control Paradise: It sucked and got people killed. I do believe that Freedom scares the political elites.

  1. I’ve been seeing the lefties go positively batsh!t over the black truck swerving into the white truck. The usual nonsense about how all the violence is caused by Trump, Nazis, end of democracy, etc.

    1. Have you seen the actual video? The white suv actually merges into the black truck. The “swerving” is the truck correcting to avoid going off the shoulder.

      1. Yes I have. Not that it matters to the left. The real funny comments are the ones saying ‘ just let them try that on me’.

Now had it been antifa/BLM throwing rocks at a Trump bus, they would have been fine w/ that.

  2. The Left are continuously surprised and angered when their own tactics are used against them – at all levels, from national politics right down to the street.

It’s as though there’s a mentality that both tends towards the left, and leads to an inability to consider potential consequences to their own actions.

  3. What possible crime is there to investigate? Traffic violations aren’t under FBI jurisdiction.

Another reason to dissolve the FBI. When they’re investigating garage door pulls and harmless political stunts, they clearly have no serious work to do. With no serious work left to them, we don’t need them any more.

  4. The legacy of J. Edgar lives on.
What did anyone expect from a govt agency founded on the ideals of collecting and saving dirt on one’s opponents for political advantage?
It is only a short step from collecting blackmail material on political enemies to openly harassing said enemies while ignoring your own side’s pecadillos.

    1. Honestly, I can’t get outraged over anything Hoover did, except maybe the blindness towards the Mafia. I get the impression the material he had on politicians and other public figures was for defense more than control, and he certainly focused on some real problems that were politically risky: the Klan, the murder/robbery of native landowners with oil riches in Oklahoma, and the CPUSA.

I think he’s hated largely because of being anti-Communist, and his wrongs amplified as a result. I could be wrong — I have no issue admitting that — but given the path of the country post-Hoover…

      1. It’s not why he did it.
        It’s that he did it.
And set an institutional precedent within the FBI that such is acceptable.
Whatever his motivations, the use of the Fibbies as a political weapon was well entrenched from the agency’s formation.
All that has changed is the hand that wields it.

  5. I think someone decided that the potential value of inflating this into a big “scandal” where violent Trump goons harassed and intimidated the Biden campaign “SO BAD that they had to cancel their other engagements” probably outweighed any votes they would have won from the rallies themselves. A series of rallies probably wouldn’t have won many new voters over to Biden, but being able to go on the air and talk about how they “were forced to cancel the events for the safety of their supporters after being targeted by violent Trump supporting racists” will guarantee them a bunch of media headlines and PR, which is always good, especially when you can be damn sure that the media will do their upmost to make you look like the brave, noble, victimized hero and the Trump supporters as violent thugs and terrorists. It may be a long shot, but it probably won’t LOSE them any net voters, and it could conceivably give a bunch of swing voters the reason to come over to Biden, if they only watch the media accounts. After all, it’s being investigated by the FBI! The wouldn’t be investigating it is it hadn’t been a serious crime, right?!
Of course when they say the FBI is “looking into it”, they mean to imply it is being investigated, but no doubt it is more like the media called up the FBI public office and asked “are you investigating this case where the Biden campaign was harrased in Texas” and the PR guy said “we don’t have any info on that situation at present, but we will be looking into it to determine if any investigation is called for”. Bam, the FBI is “looking into it”. It must be serious! While it really just means the FBI hadn’t even heard of it until the media called them up.

Only one rule: Don't be a dick.
